March 1 was Employee Appreciation Day! We are celebrating our team members all month long by sharing their stories. Read more about Samantha Pace, Account Manager, at Thrive Alliance Group and how she supports clinicians and works behind the scenes.

What is your favorite thing about working here?

The people. The administrative team here in the office, along with everyone else, are so hands on and willing to help. Although I don’t get to see the clinicians much in person, getting to work with them and hear about the work in district on a daily basis is truly amazing.

What keeps you coming to work each day?

The team and work that our clinicians are doing. They’re the ones that are doing the hard work, so to be able to support them and help them with the impact that they’re making on the students’ lives every day is what keeps me coming to work.

How do you make an impact on students’ lives?

I do this by making the clinicians’ lives easier. It is the best thing I can do for the students because the clinicians are the ones helping the students every day. Anything I can do to help support the clinicians ends up supporting students in need.

Last year, we rolled out our BetterTogether guiding principles. Which one of our values resonates with you most personally and why? (Integrity, Accountable, Collaborative, Inclusive, Supportive).

I would say supportive. That’s just Thrive in general, as an administrative team we’re here to support our clinicians and districts. It’s always great to hear from the clinicians about what they need and how I can help.

What does a “day in the life” look like for your role?

I oversee our student information system so I spend a lot of time working with our clinicians to get them up and running. I also help with onboarding our clinicians, marketing and editing for our professional development, parent/student academy. Anything that’s needed I’m happy to help with, so I do a lot of different things.

Can you talk a little bit about your career trajectory and what led you to where you are now?

Before coming to Thrive, I was in a mental health office in Rochester, NY and would see all different age levels being supported. Being able to help adults, children or families when they are need was my favorite part. I ended up moving back to NJ and started working with Thrive. I had gotten my master’s in educational leadership but decided I didn’t want to teach so the ability to play a supporting role in a school district is a nice connection to the school community. I have been with Thrive for a couple years and look to continue to assist in different areas of the company in the future.

What has been your proudest moment or accomplishment in your role?

One of the things I’m proudest of is that I’m coming into two years here at Thrive and I’ve been able to step up and help in different areas. My skillset and ability to learn things quickly has allowed me to take on the different roles and have a hand in a lot of different projects!

What is something about you that not many people know?

I really don’t like balloons and I am actually very anxious around them!
